루비 RUBY (New K-pop Girl Group)

RUBY — the name of a new KPOP 5-member girl group under HY Entertainment.

I first saw them at a TV show here in the Philippines called Wiltime Bigtime. Wiltime Bigtime host Willie Revillame, asked the girls if they can perform something for the audience. The girls danced to the music of another korean girl group called 'KARA' entitled 'Mister'. After their performance they promoted their debut album "Get Down" and their Mall Tours here in the Philippines.

ASIANOVELAS in every Filipinos Heart

I don't know when did all Korean drama, Taiwanese and Japanese drama started to invade the television of every Filipino.

But early this morning, while I was cleaning our house I saw pieces of paper with a list of different titles (and I think it's a title of shows) like Beautiful days, My MVP Valentine and Endless love. And I remembered back when I was in grade five I used to write every title of Korean or Taiwanese drama on that pieces of paper. I even write their titles at the back of my notebook, books and keychain of my bag. All the drama that I listed in that paper was all aired in one TV station. When I was a kid, I don't like watching other shows from other channels that's why I only watched Asianovelas on that TV station.

    * I'm a big fan of this series from its first airing to the end, I always make sure I watched every episode of it. I also have a collection of posters of the series.

3. Endless love (Autumn in my heart)
    * I cried a river in this drama. After watching its finale, I cannot sleep at all because I thought the leading man and the leading lady will finally get the love they wanted. It's really sad. =(

4. Bright Girl
    * I think this is the first ever Korean drama that was aired here in the Philippines.

5. The Poor Prince
    * The Leading actor here is Vic Zhou from Meteor Garden.
6. Miki Loves Yuu
7. My Love Cindy
8. Lavender
    * When this was aired in television, it was the time when those "lavender" became popular, even the stores outside our school sell them but it's not real it's just for fun. Lavender is another sad story, I cried a lot too in this drama.

This is my own lavender item. :) This is the one that is sold outside our school when I was in elementary.

My own dolphin figurine! I bought it when A promise of love starts airing on the television, I also start to love dolphins because of the drama.

    * I used to be a fan of Britney Spears, so when I heard on the television that a song of her was used to be a background music or theme song of EL 3 I was so happy. Actually it's not really a part of the theme songs of EL 3 it's just used by the TV station, I think to add some good atmosphere while watching the drama.
"Everytime" is the song of Britney Spears used in the drama.

DREAM HIGH!

I was first captivated by the theme song of this drama. At first I really don't know what its all about. My friends keep on telling me that it is a must-watched drama series, so because of curiosity I downloaded Dream High.

I was already by just watching its first episode. As I continue watching, I remembered my dreams in life. I remembered all of my failures in life, how to not lose hope and just keep moving on.

Dream High is not just your ordinary K-drama, it isn't just about love or a husband cheating to his wife. It is more of an educational drama but not in a boring way. With the help of catchy musics and oh-so-good dance moves, dreaming high could never be that easy.

SYNOPSIS

Dream High tells the story of six students at Kirin Art High School who work to achieve their dreams of becoming music stars in the Korean music industry. Go Hye Mi is a student who had majored in classical music but has to give up her dream by entering Kirin Art High School to pay off her father's debt. However, she needs to get two other students to also come to the school in order for her to enroll in the school conditionally. These two students are Song Sam Dong, who lives in the countryside, and Jin Guk, whom she accidentally meets while trying to escape from a loan shark. Yoon Baek Hee, formerly Hyemi's sidekick, becomes her rival in school because Hye Mi betrays her during an audition to enter the school.

DREAM HIGH 2

I was so excited when I finished downloading Dream High 2. I was really hoping that it would also turn out great because its first season was really good they even got to manage organizing a special concert for its success.

But I was a little disappointed because I never felt the drama at all, from start to finish it was just too plain for me. Unlike its first season, here I never felt on dreaming high its more of 'loving high'  because of existing love triangles between the characters you wouldn't even notice how they've gotten their dreams.

Nevertheless, its still good. If it was determination in Dream High, well what could I say? They used inspiration in Dream High 2.

SYNOPSIS 

Kirin High School of Art has been taken over by Oz Entertainment because of financial bankruptcy. Oz Entertainment then transfers over its own idol stars to Kirin High to avoid a law requiring under age entertainers to study for a set time. Competition then brews between troubled students at Kirin High School of Art and then newly transfered idols from Oz Entertainment.

Shin Hae-Sung (Kang So-Ra) enters Kirin High School of Art with a high written exam score, but poor performance scores. She then meets fellow students Jin Yoo-Jin (Jinwoon) and JB (JB), who makes her realize how fun music can be. Jin Yoo-Jin acted when he was a young child. Now, he is a troubled student dreaming of becoming a rock star. He attempts to cure his pain caused by his parent's divorce through music.
